Sunday 4th February.

A great day in the garden.
Overnight temp 3.5 C

 Started on the front bed this morning and got it finished by 1500.
All weeded out, top dressed with my own compost.
I increased the geranium population by splitting the larger ones already in in the bed.
I will have to wait to see what else springs up.
Planted some of the anemone corms in here.


 Started to make a small bed around the Hamamelis.

 Planted some lettuce and spinach seeds in the propagator.
Ailsa Craig tomatoes coming on well in the propagator.

Overnight in greenhouse 2.2 C A lot of rain overnight but a nice bright morning. checked greenhouse all OK. Pruned a big lump off one of the Victoria Plums  part of a cutting back to a better size and cleaning up the plant. Sunday 4th March

What a week just past. The coldest night over the week in the greenhouse was -2.5C I was not well and did not go far. Checked the greenhouse each day, but nothing else could be done. Saturday 3rd March brought snow. Thursday evenings wind brought down the fence on the north side of the garden. All in all not a brilliant week.

Overnight in Greenhouse 3.4 to Saturday A lot of overnight rain, but nice and bright Saturday morning. All in Greenhouse is good, nothing done outside. Woodturning today. Seriously heavy rain in the late afternoon and evening. Overnight to Sunday 3.2 C A nice bright morning, but cold.
